A 38 years old lady did not like the look of her teeth when she was smiling and was unhappy that her lower front teeth were not symmetrical. As a child, she had one lower incisor tooth removed and worn fixed braces. Initially she thought she might be too old for brace treatment and wondered if it would be “worthwhile at her age”! There is no age limit on having orthodontic treatment as long as the teeth and gum conditions are healthy. She was treated with miniscrew assisted maxillary skeletal expansion (MARPE/MSE) device followed by upper and lower customized lingual braces and extraction of one of her lower incisor over a 15 months duration. She was very happy with her smile and wished she had done it sooner!
